The ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment is an online tool that evaluates a student’s knowledge before the course to evaluate their proficiency and determine the need for additional review and practice in 3 sections: rhythm recognition, pharmacology, and practical application. The student must complete the Precourse Self-Assessment and achieve a score of at least 84% before taking the ACLS Course.
The ACLS Precourse Work involves a student reviewing course content through ONLINE VIDEOS before entering the classroom. The video lessons cover multiple medical subjects, and each lesson includes questions to engage the student.
Course agreement: To successfully complete this course, the student must be able to demonstrate proficiency in certain skills as well as pass a written exam. Therefore, it is essential that you familiarize yourself with the information in the pre-course videos, pre-course self-assessment, and the ACLS study guide provided to you before class. It is expected that the participant will be proficient in BLS before participating in the ACLS course. Your BLS skills will be evaluated during the ACLS skill stations but does not constitute a BLS renewal.
